The European Commission has adopted proposals for a new Regulation on the Sustainable Use of Plant Protection Products, which aims to reduce the use and risk of chemical pesticides by 50% by 2030. This aligns with the EU’s Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies. Additionally, the Commission has responded to the initiative ‘Save bees and farmers! Towards a bee-friendly agriculture for a healthy environment’ by prioritizing the adoption and implementation of proposals currently being negotiated, along with effective implementation of the CAP.
